[Know what Raleigh loves doing? Kissing Mako Mori. She's tiny and feisty and one of the best freestyle skiiers in the world. She's strong and determined and kissing her is much the same, like making out with a gold medal every night. He loves snowboarding too but he has yet to figure out a way to do that and kiss her at the same time, without crashing or actually doing anything that's not just laying there in the snow, which he also likes doing but that is technically not snowboarding.
Sometimes their schedules don't always coordinate. He doesn't have a competition where she does, she's pulled for an endorsement thing in another state. It's just the lives of professional athletes, they go where the snow and the awards are and that means that he hasn't seen her for about three days.
So yeah, Raleigh pretty much pounces on her the moment she comes in the door, helping push her bag off her shoulder and pull her towards the nearest horizontal surface that isn't the floor. So like the couch. And it's magical and great and tell him about the shoot, was it the whole bikini and skis thing again cause he was a fan of that and--]
[ Mako is likewise delighted and surprised to be ambushed by Raleigh Becket; she'd barely gotten through the door before she'd been practically swept off her feet by all 6 feet plus of a half-french Alaskan bear, and she's laughing because it's only been three days but she's missed him, she's missed kissing him and she doesn't want to know whether he really makes out with a gold medal every day that she's gone.
She's madly, irrevocably in love with him for reasons even she can't explain -- there's just too many of them, beginning and ending with the type of person that he is, and the joy she sees in his eyes that seems to always make her day brighter, no matter what type of a mood she's in.
And oh, oh, making out. Making out is fun, even more fun and spine-tingly when she's with him, because with him, she's always felt like she could do absolutely anything. He was the one person who had been in her corner all along, even when it felt like the world had turned on him, and she would never forget that.
So she's telling him, yes, it's the whole bikini and skis thing and she knows he's a fan and she's -- Mako just smiles, shifting her wrist under where he's pinned it over her head on the couch, and she lets him get a clearer look.
There it is, the classically beautiful fonts, clear as day, on the inside of her wrist -- 'R.B.'. She'd only gotten it the day before she left, and while it's mostly fine now, it still tingles now and then.
[What a man does in his private time when he's lonely without her, that's none of her business.
Raleigh arches up so he can get a closer look at the tattoo on her wrist, two little black marks that are so clearly the letters R and B and that could stand for a lot of things but he's going to take a guess about what it's about.
[ Definitely not 'Red Blue', that's for sure, and Mako is going to punch him in the arm if he dares to suggest that. And that's gross, Raleigh, making out with your gold medals. ]
The day before I left for the shoot.
[ Mako smiles; she'd managed to hide it from him successfully, because she'd meant for it to be a surprise when she comes back -- plenty of time for it to heal on its own and look presentable. ]
[Now he's seriously curious how he didn't notice it, maybe he was just distracted by the upcoming competition but he's usually pretty... in tuned with Mako and her body and things of that nature.
Raleigh runs his thumb over the tattoo, lightly because he knows fresh ones hurt, even if it looks okay.]
[ ...In tune with Mako and her body? Does this mean that he's aware of her monthly cycles?
Mako, however, spends that time just admiring him, enjoying his attention -- it stings, but it doesn't hurt too much aside from that, and besides, she likes when he touches her, so can he keep touching her, please?
She squirms under him, evidently pleased with herself, and eager for Raleigh to know. ]
I'm Miss December. Complete with a special Santa hat.
[Raleigh... might have a pretty good idea when Mako's going to be on her period and he might make it a point to have extra chocolate around, just in case. He forgets about the tattoo for a second because, she has to be kidding. No way is she the girl for his birthday month.]
Why do you need a picture when you have the real thing?
[ Mako's not going to give him a picture, and she flicks him on the nose playfully. She loves that Raleigh is so thoughtful, that he actually buys her lots of chocolates when it's near that time of month (even if it's mostly for self-preservation purposes). ]
[ ...Mako's not wearing the santa hat and bikini to sex him up. At least, not right now. She kisses his nose and smirks -- Mako might have the image saved in her flash drive. ]
[Why wouldn't she wear the Santa hat and the bikini for him when she will wear it for photographers, what about that. Doesn't he get the first view of everything? Isn't that how this works? No?]
[ He's a naughty, naughty boy, that's why. Mako smiles down at him fondly, before she kisses his mouth and absently rubs at her tattoo. It still itches, a little. ]
Are you sure you want to do it here on the couch?
[ Admittedly they've gone at it like rabbits in worse places, but still. ]
[Sometimes, Raleigh is kinda lazy and he's not that inclined to move right now. He's perfectly content right here, covered in Mako and trading kisses with her and he's glancing at her tattoo again because wow. Just wow. She actually got his initials tattooed on her.]
[ It was something she wanted to remember him with, whenever they're apart -- not that Mako would tell him that in so many words, but having his initials on her is a commitment she'd made -- not lightly so.
She watches as his gaze is drawn to her wrist, smiling briefly before running her fingers through his hair. ]
So am I. It reminds me of you when you're not around.
[It is pretty serious. He hasn't even proposed yet or gone looking for rings and here she is with his name on her wrist and maybe he needs to step up his game.]
[She should know by now that he's impulsive and once he gets something into his head, it's hard to get him to let it go. He's not really thinking a ring, not yet, but more like a matching tattoo.]
[ :c but she really doesn't know! Mako giggles and squirms under his touch, tickled pink; but she likes his touch, and is almost too distracted to catch the question.
Raleigh really needs to stop doing such things! Or else she'd be severely compromised at times where she needs to give intelligent answers. ]
[ Mako echoes innocently, squirming against him as she presses her nose against his collarbone, lightly trying to bat him away from here. Sensitive spot, Raleigh! ]

When did you do this?

The day before I left for the shoot.

I have to tell you something else as well.

Are you saying I don't get a personal copy of Miss December?

If you behave, I might let you have a look.

How about just a teaser then?

You don't have to, Raleigh.

Tramp stamp?
[ The reference flies over her head entirely. ]

You know. One right here.

Do they not have those in Japan?

As a joke. But it's not funny if I have to explain it.
